- Sacred Book of Sages
Thunder rang through the skies of Tokyo, and then a flash of lightning. Serena yelped and started running faster, her book bag over her head. She hated thunderstorms. Frankly, she hated rain all together because of the thunder. As she ran, she almost slipped a few times down into the street. She ran towards Raye's temple. They were having a Sailor meeting. She didn't know why. The Negaverse was gone. The Nega Moon was dusted. For two years now, everything was ok. But, Luna planned this meeting anyway. She had gotten out of school on time, and was making good time to the temple.
"OH! I hate this! I was even on time! Now, I'm late!" Serena squealed. Then she came upon the temple and ran up the steps, and bolted into Raye's room. She shut the door quickly and took off her rain coat.
"Serena, I'm impressed! Your only a minute late!" Luna said, jumping off the bed and onto the floor in between the other girls. "Now girls, onto buisness."
"What buisness could there be? We dusted the bad guys over two years ago!!" Serena said, sitting down next to Mina.
"That is true, but something has come up. Not here in Japan, but over in America. I have received some bad vibes, and I checked out what was going on down there," Luna said. "It seems there is some evil activity going on."
"Hey, my cousin Will lives in America!" Serena said.
Just then Artemis jumped throught the window. He was holding a newspaper. He dropped it on the floor in the middle of everybody. He turned a page and a big headline said "Trouble in America, a new Sailor there to help!"
"What? A new sailor? And you guys haven't toled us?" Lita asked, reading the headline.
Luna shook her head, jumping down next to the news paper. "No, we had no clue until yesterday. Neither of us know what is going on."
"Here, let me see this," Mina said, grabbing hte paper and loking it over. "Some one called Warior Sun... Sun? That seems so familiar... Oh yeah!! This guy makes American action movies! He is a super hero like us, and protects the world from evil creatures! Very good movies! He's cute too! Anyway, looks like he is the real deal! Hmm it says that he is a major star in America and in England!"
"Hmm.. that picture looks familiar..." Serena said, looking over Mina's shoulder.
"Well, at any rate, at least one of us needs to go over there and try to locate this guy," Artemis said, walking up next to Luna. Luna looked at him and nodded. "Maybe Serena should go, since her cousin lives there."
"I'm sure I can persuade mom and dad to go visit our family there!" Serena said happily.
"I don't think she should go alone," Lita said. "I have some free time, I'll go with her. I have enough money to get some tickets and such."
"All right, the rest of us will stay here in case anything attacks here," Luna said.
The calm waters of the Pacific Ocean splashed softly on the sands. Clouds covered the sky, giving off a soft rain that sooths the soul. The seaguls flew over the sea and the docks, searching for food. A man stood on the docks, looking out into the ocean, and the rainy sky. He smiled to himself, the rain softly hitting his face. A few people walked by, but the place was normally scarce. That is why he was there. He liked the quietness of this part of the dock, the solitude that was the very esence of the good feelings cast over the visitors of this section.
This man was not like many of the people that stumbled upon this peaceful getaway. Aside from him liking to be alone more than other people, he had something that made him almost unhuman. He had a special power that he could use at his will. A power that gives greatness to the alignment it is swayed towards. Luckily for the Earth, this man was part of its saving grace. This man was the western hemisphere's protector.
Aside from that, his real life was not that normal either. A normal teen aged boy would be going to school persuing girls and fun. He was a movie star, the only profession that he could acctually do something right in. But, only because of his power. His power made him a super star among the American people. Something he didn't like much, but accepted. Luckily for him, he did not get rushed when he meerly stepped out of his house.
But, that luck only went so far. Recently a wave of strange beings started attacking major American cities. This man had to call upon his powers to save the cities from total distruction and major disaster. These hideous creatures were only hurt by his powers. No bullets or projectiles could even make a meesly scratch on them.
Now, due to these creatures, he was more than a super star. To these people he was a hero. Whenever the creatures showed up, he was expected to be there. Another hardship that came along with these powers. Now it seemed he would never get a chance at a normal life. Ever.
As he stared out at the sea, his thoughts ran rampid. He thought of the recent battles he had, using his powers. He thought of some of the events his work made him take part in. Then he thought of his family. A family consisting of a talking cat, named Hermes, who beared the news of this man's great power, and his little sister Linali.
But his thoughts were soon torn from him as he felt another evil creature attack. He ran from the dock, fortunatley for him, the creature landed close.
The demon roared loudly as it ran through the streets of San Francisco. It ran into a few buildings, knocking chuncks of brick all over the street behind it. It started slashing at cars and running through store winodws. The creature ravaged the insides of many buildings, leaving nothing unturned. It reached one gigantic building and made its way to the top, jumping out of a window towards the street. When it landed, it hit one car, and dented the street below it.
"Sun... Flare... IGNITE!" A big burst of energy shot at the creature, knocking it back into the store it jumped out of. The monster was dazed and laid on the ground holding its stomach. Soon after, though, it stood. It looked out of the store and saw a man standing there. He had long flowing brown hair, which was wet because of the rain, and sunglasses that covered his eyes. Armour covered his chest, and had two symbols on the shoulder coverings. He had a sword in his hand, which had a crystal on the end, and the same symbol as on his left shoulder inside of it. A flowing black cape was draped across his back.
"You go no further, demon." The man said, with a deep, yet soothing voice. The demon growled and jumped at the man. He took a step back and then leapt under the demon, sliding below it. Then he jumped up quickly and kickced the demon in the back when it landed. The demon fell to the ground and the man picked it up. Then he threw it out of the store. He then held his sword up, slanting it towards the demon.
"Des la te nor, et ne des lavatia!" The man said in some strange language. He then raised the sword above his head and the tip started to glow. Sparks flew out in every direction, and the man ran towards the demon. "Solar Death!" the man yelled, then he slashed at it, and cut through it's body. The demon howled then fell to the ground dead.
A croud had gathered throughout the whole fight, watching with interest. The demon's body glowed and then started transforming into a glowing dust, then dissapeared. The people cheered and hollered. The man just stood there looking at where the demon was.
"Is that really him?" one woman said, looking at the man with a glow in her eyes.
"Yes, that is Warior Sun, protector of America!" A guy, who seemed to be a reporter said, taking his picture. The man, Warior Sun, looked around at all the people and then walked to where the demon was. He looked down and saw nothing. then he looked up and the people cheered loudly. Sun looked around and nodded at the people.
"I must be off," Sun said, and then jumped over all of the people to the top of the buildings, and then disappeared.
"Oh I am so excited!" Serena said to Mina and Lita as she caught up to them, walking home from school.
"I haven't seen you all day, Serena, and I never got to ask you if we are gonna go to America," Lita asked, looking at Serena.
"That's what I am excited about! They said it was about time they had a vacation! And that you can come along Lita!"
"Alright!" Lita said, high-fiving Serena. "So what is Will's last name?"
"Tenuka. He's a great guy, the only family member i really like," Serena said. Mina sighed and stared off in front of her.
"Whats your deal, Mina?" Serena asked. Serena then turned backwards and walked facing Mina.
Mina sighed and looked up at Serena with a smile. "I just wish I could go with you guys. I'd love to meet the Warior Sun in person."
"Don't worry Mina, I'm sure you'll get to meet him!" Serena said. She walked that way for a little bit. All of a sudden, her foot snagged on a crack in the sidewalk and she fell backwards. Mina grabbed her arm and stopped her from falling.
"At least it wasn't walking foreward this time," Mina said with a giggle. All three girls laughed and then parted ways at the end of the street. Mina had to walk farther than the girls. Her home was not as close to this High School as it was to her other one. She had transferred to the other girls' school just so she could have her close friends there with her.
As she walked, she got more tired. She decided to take a short rest on a bench that was on the sidewalk. As she approached the bench, something touched Mina's arm. She swung around, and saw a man there, with a black ski mask over his head, holding her arm roughly. She squirmed to get away, but she couldn't. The man was too strong for her. He pulled her with him, and threw her into a van, and got in after her. He tied her up and gagged her.
"She will be a great one. The Boss will surely reward us now!" the man said through his mask.
"I told you these Japs were easier to nab than Americans!" The driver said, not looking back.
"She ain't no Jap, Charlie! She's white!" The man said extatically.
The men were talking in English. Even though her's was rusty from being in Japan for so long, Mina understood what they were saying. She whinned and tried to free herself, but that only caused her pain.
"Are you kiddin, Harry? Damn, you bagged a hottie too!"
Amy ran up the steps of Raye's temple. She had a very worried look in her eyes. When she reached the top she bolted through to Raye's room, withought even saying hi to her grandfather like she always did. She was out of breath when she opened the door, and saw the others got there before her. Serena was there too, but only because she was at Raye's when Amy called the urgent meeting.
"Why did you call the meeting Amy?" Raye asked, as Amy sat down. She handed Amy a cup of water, and she drank it up, sitting there for a moment to catch her breath.
"Mina!" Amy said. She couldn't say any more for a little bit.
"What about Mina," Luna asked, jumping down to the floor from the window.
"Mina..." Amy said again, getting more breath. "In trouble."
"What?!" Lita said. She stood up and looked mad. "Where is she!?"
"She was kidnapped!" Amy said. "Melvin saw the whole thing!"
Lita almost blew out the door. Raye grabbed her, and told her to sit down.
"What should we do?! Lita and I are going to America in two days!!"
"Well, Amy and Raye will stay here and keep watch out for her. Im sure her parents will have the police looking for her in no time. You two... hmm," Luna said trying to think of something.
Just then Artemis jumped through the window, looking quite depressed. He was carrying a newspaper with him also. He set it down infront of everybody.
"What's with you and newspapers lately?" Luna asked.
"I overheard what Melvin told Amy, and I suppose you gals know," Artemis said, sounding depressed also. "Well anyway, this was in the paper."
Lita picked it up and read it. "Teusday night win tickets to go see Warior Sun in person. One lucky winner will receive two free round trip tickets to America, all expenses paid, and receive a translated version of every Warior Sun movie."
"Wow, thats a pretty big contest," Raye said, looking over Lita's shoulder.
"Too bad it wasn't five tickets, eh? Serena and Lita could have entered it before they left," Amy said, sitting down next to Serena.
"Oh, I am sure Will could get us tickets, and get us backstage with Sun! He works in movies and gets me great deals all the time!" Serena said.
"You never told me Will was a movie star," Lita said. "Now I definatley want to meet him!"
"He will probably look like an old boyfriend to her," Amy whispered to Serena.
"Hey I heard that!!"
Will jumped out of his chair, putting the television on mute. He picked up the phone, and pushed his long hair out of his face. "Hello?"
"Will! It's Serena!" Serena said in Japanese.
"Oh hey puff ball! What's happening? You haven't called me for two months," Will said back with perfect transition from English to Japanese.
"I know, I haven't had time. But guess what! We are coming down to visit!" Serena said excitedly.
"Really? Wow! When are you guys coming down?"
"We are flying out of Tokyo tomorrow, and I am bringing my friend Lita along."
"Wait, isn't she the tough one?" Will asked.
"Yep, thats her. Well I have to go pack, I just called to tell you we are coming out, and we are staying for two weeks. Bye!"
"Bye," Will said, and hung up the phone.
Just then his cat walked into the room. It jumped onto the couch and looked at Will.
"Whats up?" Will asked, looking at the cat.
"They brought in another girl. This time from another country," The cat said.
"Damn. Hermes, did you see where they took her?"
"Yes, come on lets go. Don't forget to transform," Hermes said, jumping off the couch and bolting to the door.
Will picked up a dagger from his room and held it up. "Moon Dagger Transform!" Instantly the dagger turned into a sword. The sword started to glow. In a flash of light, Will transformed into the man known as Warior Sun. Then he bolted out the door, following Hermes.
It was just turning dark outside, and clouds rolled in, casting an nice, soft rain, just as before. Hermes led him to an old wearhouse on the docks of San Francisco. The doors were bolted shut, and the roof was too high to meerly jump up. Sun looked around trying to find a way inside. He spotted a ladder leading up to the roof, and he swiftly climbed up. He reached the roof and looked inside a window that was up there. It looked down to the floor, and he saw four figures. One of them was a female. Sun watched a moment. One of the men slapped the girl and she cried out in pain. That furiated Sun and he smashed down through the window. The men looked up in surprise.
"Who the hell is that?!" Demanded a man, who seemed to be the leader.
Sun looked up at the men when he landed. His hair almost fully covered his face. He growled and leaped at one of the men, knocking him down.
"Harry, get that guy! NOW! Charlie, get your butt up and fight!!!" The boss yelled out as he grabbed the young girl. The man that was knocked down got to his feet, and the other man ran up behind Sun. Sun twirled around and kicked the man, Harry, in the stomach. Then he kneed his face, knocking him back. Charlie came from behind and grabbed Sun. Harry got back up and went to punch Sun, but Sun ducked and Harry hit Charlie. Sun then leg sweeped Harry down and kicked Charlie in the knee, knocking him down also. Sun got up and looked over at the man who had the young girl.
"Let her go now," Sun said, walking towards the man.
"Ha ha... now now Mr. Sun, we need not get violent," The man said, holding the girl close to him," I am sure we could work this out. This little precious girl can fetch me some good money, not to mention excellent pleasure. I know I can give you what you want, so that we both get the good end of the deal here."
"I don't think so, Kei. Let the girl go now." Sun stepped closer to Kei, but Kei pulled out a knife and held it to the girl's neck.
"Don't step any closer, or this little English twit will get her head cut off."
Sun growled softly, and stopped. He stared at Kei madly. A few moments after he saw something small run behind Kei. Sun smiled to himself, knowing it was Hermes. Kei laughed and taunted Sun, acting like he was going to slit her throat. After a few mintues of this, Hermes screatched and flew at Kei, landing on his shoulder and scratching his face repeatedly.
"Aaa!!! Where the hell did this cat come from?!!?" Key let go of the girl and she fell to the ground. Sun leaped and grabbed the girl, running away and setting her in a safe place. But, when Sun turned around, Kei had thrown Hermes off of him and was escaping with his two cronies. "Ill get you back for this! Remember, I know very much about you!!!" He yelled back at Sun. He was too far for Sun to catch him, so he decided to go over to the girl. He untied her and ungagged her.
"Are you alright?" Sun asked the young lady.
"Yes," she said, looking up at him. Her eyes widened and a big smile crossed her lips. "Y-You're Warior Sun, aren't you?"
"Yes, I am. Now, let us leave, we can talk a little more later on." With that said, Sun picked her up and ran quickly out of the building. He ran with her out of the wearhouse yard and to a rooftop, overlooking San Francisco. There he set her down.
"Ok, you said we could talk," The girls said, sitting against a wll, looking up at Sun with a smile.
"Alright, but I do not have much time," Sun said, looking out over the city. Then he turned to the girl. "It seems you know my name, so what is yours, m'lady?"
"My name is Mina. I live in Japan, but, as you know, I was kidnaped. Now I have nowhere to go..." Mina said, looking sadly down to the ground.
"I can help you with that. I have a friend that lives here that will take you in for a little while. He has a way to get you back to Japan. Just give him this," Sun took out a peice of cloth and gave it to her. Then he pulled out a paper that had directions on it. "There is an elevator around the corner, get going quick, there are more sickos out there." Sun then lept over the edge and left Mina. She got up and looked over the edge. He was gone. She smiled to herself, thinking of Tuxedo Mask and his exit. She then went to the elevator, looking at the directions.
She had been walking for blocks, lost and not knowing exactly where to go next. She turned the corner and saw three men standing there. Just by their rugged look she knew they would be trouble. She tried to walk back withought detection, but one of them saw her, and alerted his friends. The started to follow her, and she frantically walked back the way she came. They were getting closer when something caught her eye. It was the house's street number. She quickly walked up to the door and knocked loud. The men stopped and hid behind a bush, watching the Mina closely. The door opened and a man with long brown hair opened the door. She quickly flashed the cloth at him and he nodded, letting her in. She sighed loudly and put her hand to her chest.
"Thank god. I almost got caught by three guys out there. Oh, by the way, I am Mina," She said, turning to the man and holding out her hand.
"The name is Will. Will Tenuka."
"Tenuka?! Oh my god, you are Serena's cousin arent you!?" Mina asked with a smile.
"If you are talking about Serena Tuskino, then you would be correct."
Mina nodded and giggled softly. Her cheeks blushed and she looked down a little. She thought to herself, 'He is cute! Wow! Serena never told me that.'
"Serena is coming out here tomorrow. So I guess you will stay here until she leaves?"
"Yeah, that would be the best."
"Uu.. Well I'll have my sister sleep with me, and you can have her room for the night." Will said, walking with Mina to the bedrooms upstairs. Mina looked around. It was a nice two story house, a real family home. She wondered what happened to Will's family, because she could tell it was only him and his little sister. But, she decided not to ask. "We don't have any nightgowns that would fit you, but here is a big t-shirt and some sweats," Will said, coming out of his room and handing her the clothes. Just then a little girl came out of one of the other rooms. She smiled at Will, then looked at Mina.
"Who is this, Will?"
"This is Mina. She is going to be staying with us for the night. Your going to have to sleep in my room tonight. Oh and Serena is coming from Japan tomorrow."
The little girl smiled and cheered. She then bolted to her room and grabbed some clothes, bolting back into Will's room.
"Linali is the only family I have left," Will informed Mina. She nodded and he pointed her towards the bathroom. She changed and went into Will's little sister's room. It was a nice room, full of little girl things. It was neat, and easy to move around in. Mina sat on the bed after opening the window. The rain cast a nice smell into the room, and Mina felt relaxed. For once this whole time in America she felt calm. She laid down and thought about her situation. Her dream had come true. She met Warior Sun. He was so cute. She wished he was in Japan, so he could be her own 'Tuxedo Mask'. Then she had met Will, Serena's cousin. He was very cute, and she also wished he lived in Japan with her. She thought finally she might find somone that would have been willing to date her for more than two days.
She was startled by a knock, and Will stepped in. He smiled and closed the door behind him. He smelled the cool air coming in and smiled again. "I take it you know Japanese?"
Mina seemed surprised that Will could speak it so fluently. "Yes I do," she said with a nod.
"It's a nice nite out. I love it when it rains," Will said, sitting down on the bed, and leaning against the wall.
Mina agreed and smiled. She also slid back against the wall, looking out the big window. "For some strange reason I think I have seen your face before.."
"Some pictures at Serena's house maybe?"
"No..." Mina said," Something else..."
"Well I am in movies. Maybe you have seen me in one or two?" Will asked a smile coming across his face.
Mina looked at him and then realised where she saw him. "On my! You are in the Warior Sun movies aren't you??"
Will nodded and Mina looked atr him with surprise. He then looked out the window and it was silent for a moment.
"Mina, can I ask you something? Well, it might be too early, I don't know. But, since you are going to be here for a while.. I was wondering..."
"Wondering what?" She asked nicely, with a smile.
"Well," Will said, looking out the window, then back at her," I was wondering if you would like to go to dinner with me, one of these nights."
Mina blushed and smiled. Her cheeks turned a bright red and she nodded. "Alright." Will smiled and then left the room with a thank you.
