He is the younger brother of Prince Diamond. He designed all the crystals of Emerald, so that she could use them in hunting places with Dark Energy.

He also wanted Emerald for himself, a little jelous of her infatuation over his brother. He tried once to get her to be with him, but that failed with her laughing in his face. Other than that he always argued with her or his older brother.

He also was the first to find out Wiseman's real plot. Whenever he told his older brother hsi suspicions, Diamond wouldn't listen. When Sapphire confronted the Wiseman, the Wiseman took the opportunity to try and get rid of him. He was badly injured after that and he escaped to Earth, where the Four Sisters helped heal him. It was revealed that him and Prisma were an item back in the future. He convinced the sisters to let him go back to his brother to save him. But when he tried to go back his brother appeared on Earth, and just when it looked like he had convinced Diamond that the Wiseman was infact their enemy and not their friend, the Wiseman killed Sapphire infront of Diamond.
